Pharmacological Action of Lophatherum Gracile
(1) Antipyretic effect of light bamboo leaves: The water extract of this product is administered by gavage to rats with fever caused by injection of yeast suspension, which has an antipyretic effect. The effective ingredients for antipyretic are soluble in water and dilute hydrochloric acid, but not easily soluble in alcohol and ether. For cats and rabbits with fever caused by Escherichia coli, the antipyretic potency of 2g/kg light bamboo leaves is about 0.83 times that of 33mg/kg phenacetin.
(2) Diuretic effect: Normal people should try decocting 10g of this product. The diuretic effect is weak, but it can increase the excretion of chloride in the urine. Its diuretic effect is weaker than that of Mutong and Polyporus umbellatus, but its increased excretion of chloride in urine is stronger than that of Polyporus umbellatus. Promote the excretion of urate from urine.
